  2. Yessiree, you've always dreamed of having one of those cool Long
  3. Persistence Monitors, the ones optomotrists discourage because
  4. you won't be visiting them as often (if you like using Interlaced,
  5. that is)... And quite the gadgets they are.  However, they tend 
  6. to have this slight problem of leaving a trail behind anything 
  7. that moves, thus making games like Asteroids a tad difficult to 
  8. play on them.
  9.  
  10. If you are one of those who decided as soon as you saw the 
  11. introduction that you wanted a Commodore 2080 monitor (the Long 
  12. Persistence one), this program is for you!   It gives you a taste 
  13. of life in the fast lane!  It won't do much for your interlaced 
  14. text quality, it won't do much for your hi-res graphics... It won't 
  15. do much for ANYTHING except, well, giving you a taste of Long 
  16. Persistence.  Have fun.  I know that both the program and this
  17. readme file will be erased from your disk within 10 minutes anyway, 
  18. so I'd  better make this quick:

  20. I realize that asking you to send me money for this would be like asking
  21. Commodore to give me a free upgrade on my Kickstart, so instead, if you
  22. could do either one of these two things, I'd be more than happy (well,
  23. maybe just happy):

  25.  1: Call my bulletin board and let me know what you think of it, 
  26.     (You will have to call and wait a bit to be registered - call back
  27.     about a week later and you should be if you aren't a regular user
  28.     already (most cool people are)).  While you're there, upload 
  29.     something!

  31.  2: Send me a small package containing a detonator which, when depressed,
  32.     will annihilate (quietly, of course) any device, or building, which
  33.     bears an Atari logo.

  45. command line option you can stick in there.. I'm not going to tell
  46. you what it is, though.  So there.
